Frequently Asked Questions

Is it safe to purchase on your website?

We insist upon using the latest in computer security technology.  All data you enter during a  purchase is entered at a secure server utilizing Secure Socket Layers (SSL), the industry standard for security.  All data are safely encrypted during transmission using the latest technologies for your peace of mind.

What are Secure Socket Layers?

The State of the Art in security for many online transactions is what's called SSL, which is short for Secure Sockets Layer.

SSL provides you with sound privacy protection by encrypting the channel of communication between you and the merchant. Using a mathematical formula, SSL puts the information you exchange into a complex code. Think of it as a kind of armor over the information. Even if intercepted, your data would be extremely difficult to read.

In plain English, SSL enables the consumer's browser automatically scramble his or her information—such as a credit card number—before it is sent to the merchant. After that, SSL allows only the merchant's software to unscramble this data. Through SSL, you can complete transactions with the confidence that no one else can read, change, or fool with their payment information as it travels over the Internet.

Since the data sent is secure, SSL is now considered secure by all major credit card issuers (VISA, Master Card, Discover Card, and American Express) for consumers to do business with merchants on the internet.

How can I be sure I am on a secure connection?

To find out if your transaction is guarded by SSL, look for the picture of the unbroken key or closed lock in your browser window (both the Netscape Navigator/Communicator and Microsoft Internet Explorer browsers use SSL). Either indicator means SSL is protecting you. (If you don't see either one, or if you see a broken key or an open lock, that means SSL is definitely not protecting your transaction.)

The easy way you can tell if SSL is guarding your transaction, though, is to check the URL of the site you are visiting. It should change from "http" to "https" when processing secure transactions.

Do you ship to Military address (APO/FPO)?

Absolutely! When you enter your address information, please enter APO or FPO in the blank for the city and select AA, AE or AP from the list for the state.

Can I send you my order by email?

Email is not protected by any security software, such as secure socket layers (SSL), and is not protected by them.  Don't Send Payment Info via E-mail. E-mail is vulnerable and should never be used to send or receive sensitive personal information, such as credit card numbers.

I’m worried about sending scrapbooking products through the mail.  Will my products arrive safe and not be folded or creased?

We are very particular about the quality of merchandise we sell, and take all reasonable precautions to make sure your items arrive in perfect condition.  All items are wrapped in plastic and placed in heavy cardboard for shipping.   In fact, your items will probably be in better shape than if you bought them in a store, where many other customers have handled and potentially creased your products before you buy them.

How are exchange rates calculated for currencies other than US dollars?

All pricing is based on U.S. dollars. To determine the price in other currencies, our servers connects to financial institutions to calculate the current exchange rates. However, when you select to display prices in currencies other than US dollars, the price in non-US dollars is subject to change and may be somewhat different than shown on the invoice. Our bank determines actual exchange rates from US dollars into your currency of choice at the time of settlement.
