I hope you had a happy week. Did you go away for the Labor Day weekend? Sometimes a little vacation is just what you need to recharge your mind and your soul. I was just looking through my Alaskan cruise album and even though I did not get away this weekend, I felt a little recharged and relaxed by reliving the days I spent with my family on a beautiful cruise ship sailing the Inside Passage of Alaska.

I'm glad I wrote down the little details of each day that I might have forgotten otherwise. I remember starting our day at the ship's buffet where we would all meet for breakfast. The restaurant had a panoramic view of the ocean and we watched dolphins and whales play nearby while we were enjoying delicious hot waffles with orange-butter syrup (so yummy!). There was even a window in the floor so we could see the fascinating marine mammals playing in the ship's wake.
